- Learn about the interconnection between psychological and physiologicial systems
- Understand the basic foundational systems that comprise the Autonomic Nervous System
- Learn about the role of the Vagus Nerve in mediating the human stress response
- Learn about the role of stress and mental health
- Understand the role of stress and physiological health outcomes
- Learn about the current science-based methods for improving mental health outcomes, including Hanu
- Understand the basic physiological systems that contribute to modulations of HRV
- Understand the role of RSA, the Baroreflex Mechanism, and Vascular Tone Control System in contributing to HRV
- Learn about the basic HRV biometrics (i.e., SDNN, RMSSD, PNN50, LF, HF, LF/HF)

FAQs
Aside from all the benefits mentioned above, becoming a certified gives you multiple distinct advantages. First, you set yourself apart from other coaches by having advanced training and certification in HRV, biofeedback, and biometric interpretation. Second, you will have specialized training in strategically working with clients with mental health related concerns. Third, you will be listed in our Hanu Certified Coach directory. Lastly, you will be able to receive referrals directly from Hanu Health as a certified coach.
To get the most out of this course, you will want to allocate a minimum of 5 hours per week to this course. That includes the 1) mandatory live lessons, the 2) recorded content, 3) reading assignments, 4) homework assignments and 5) use of the Hanu device for biometric capture and analysis.
The Hanu Certified Coach is valid for two years. You can re-certify. Please email training@hanuhealth.com for details.
Our next cohort begins on March 7th, 2023. Each meeting time will be for 2 hours and will be a combination of lecture, student collaboration, projects and questions/answer sessions. The course dates will be:
- Week 1: March 7th, 2023 @ 12:00 – 2:00 pm ET.
